Canvases that draw viewers to them. You should fall in love with them. Dream away for a moment, because such a canvas can bring something to a viewer. Maybe you'll calm down, get moved or recognize something.' It is exciting and rewarding to discover what Fransje's paintings do to you or have to tell you.

Far Weavers

Painting is in my blood. Not that I have been painting since my youth, no about 25 years ago I started painting at the Free Academy in The Hague. Fun on a Saturday morning at work. Over the years I have found that intuitive painting suits me best. Expressing my feelings. Taking the viewer along and letting them share in my world of feelings. This is also reflected in the quotes from different people. Not only that. I really like to introduce people to the liberating aspect of painting during the workshops painting on canvas, or with the discount card. Just getting away from everyday life. Watching and doing, what does the paint do, what interactions between materials are there and the crucial question, when do you stop. I am convinced of one thing and that is that everyone has it in them.

Seen this way, her paintings can be seen as a kind of visual diary. That you may tear out a page and hang it above your couch is thus something very special.

What appeals to me in the work of Fransje Versloot is the combination of abstraction and nature. Anyone who loves nature and has an eye for it will always find something among the many canvases she has painted so far that recalls the feeling you once had, there by the sea, among the meadows or by the bulb fields. Her abstract style, sometimes subtle, sometimes applied to the canvas with furious splotches of paint, makes you want to keep looking at it.

Fransje Versloot works intuitively, from the stillness of the mud flats to the exuberance of the city. Divergent atmospheres captured on the painter's canvas.

Robust echoes of a state of mind.

Recently seen, recent work by Fransje Versloot. Again impressive, a new direction if possible even more abstract than her previous work. What remains is her mastery of playing with light, color and texture. For the first time two large canvases of 190 x 285, of which "Egypt" has stayed with me very much, but the most impressive canvas is especially "Home. Fransje Versloot has been a very passionate artist for twenty years, and it seems as if with each series a higher level is reached.
