So end of year a few musings. It is a beautiful profession to be able to create paintings and sell them to customers. Often the sale of a painting is related to an important event in a person’s life. A new house living together, getting married, closing a difficult period, reward for a special achievement, buying something as a lasting memory of a person who has passed away, something to distract your mind when you yourself are very ill. You step, as an outsider, suddenly into people’s most intimate emotions. You yourself leave again, but your canvas remains. Something in my own past, apparently touches the emotions of another.
